A great wine enthusiast, Grégory began working in wine estates at the age of 16. After obtaining several diplomas in viticulture and oenology, he went on to work in various French wine regions: Beaujolais, the Rhône Valley, the Jura… but it is above all in Bourgogne that he perfected his experience, working for major wine houses such as Louis Latour.

Twenty years later, he decided to launch Cycle Divin after earning a university diploma in “terroir and tastings” and a state-certified cycling instructor qualification, allowing him to combine his different passions: cycling, wine, and his love for Burgundy.
Why a cycling instructor diploma?
Well, like any other professional activity in France, you must hold an appropriate qualification to work as a paid cycling wine-tour guide.
By completing the French professional diploma “Brevet Professionnel de la Jeunesse, de l’Éducation Populaire et du Sport, mention Activités du Cyclisme”, I am allowed to independently supervise cycling activities while ensuring the safety of participants and other road users.
It also guarantees that any cycling-related accidents that might occur during the tour are properly covered.
Choosing a qualified cycling instructor for your guided rides is not just a bonus – in France, it is a legal requirement when the activity is supervised for payment.
